Goth or not all that really matters in my opinion is having good parents that listen, respect, talk, and support their children and who teach them to be good members of society. I’ve known many different “types” of people and like the saying goes “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. I’ve known “goths” who were straight-A students, “punks” with college degrees, “Christians” who ended up in jail, “straight-laced” people who robbed, etc. and vice versa. Why must people judge? Guess it’s just in our nature. Anyway, while I’m on the subject of judging, at least the two girls aren’t wearing low-cut dresses and mini-skirts like trampy Paris Hilton!

Soy Español y la foto me parece vergonzosa.

Por muy liberal que quiera aparentar ser, esa foto es una representacion de España, y deberia haber aconsejado a sus hijas en el tipo de ropa que ponerse para una audicion entre PRESIDENTES de dos paises.Lo que le ha pasado es que al ver las fotos se ha dado cuenta de lo fuera de lugar que estaban sus hijas (horribles) y ha intentado por todos los medios hacerla desaparecer para evitar la verguenza de los comentarios.

El problema esta en el daño que les ha provocado el padre a las niñas , ellas no tiene la culpa de gustarles la moda gotica, pero si lo tiene el padre por no haberlas dejado en el hotel o simplemente fuera de la foto.

El aspecto de las hijas es indiferente, lo que me parece criticable es la presencia en un acto presidencial, que en este caso ha sido nefasto.

Que quede claro que en España no vestimos asi, vestimos como los ingleses, franceses, o americanos, cada uno con sus matizes pero al final todos iguales.

Y hos puedo decir que este payaso con su falsa sonrisa no vuelve a ser presidente en las proximas elecciones, porque nos lleva a la ruina.

Right!
He is not able neither to run his family or his own moral mind frame. He claims that the”child” cannot be photographed, but the oldest one can have an abortion ( by the law passed last Monday), without paternal agreement or even the doctors telling to the parents.

The country that he got through dark political manoeuvrings, after March 11 bombing, and he has systematically destroyed in economy and global image.
Friend of dictators,: Chavez, Castro, etc.,
He did not raise when he was in the opposition and the American flag passed on a military parade in Madrid, being the US the invited country at the parade.

We feel ashamed. Children need to be taught, and either they are able to assist to an act with the President of the USA properly dressed, or they are not mature enough and should stay home.

It’s ridiculous to suggest that because the daughters are goth the prime minister can’t run a country. That they are goth says very little. They are teenagers! Let them be; I think the fact that they are goth and not preppy pretty little girls in dresses picked out by their mom speaks volumes about how normal they are and that’s a good thing.

So because the prime minister has two teenage kids who are wearing non-traditional clothing, it must mean he cannot govern his country? Do you listen to yourself? You are judging these young girls by the outfits they are wearing in one picture- they have not gone out and gotten busted drinking underage, posed nude, etc, so I have even a hard time referring to them as rebellious.
Zapatero has two children who apparently like to wear a lot of black, as is common in teens today- and even though he faces criticisms like this for allowing his children to dress outside the norm, he still allows his children to dress as they feel comfortable and does not attempt to change them. It appears that if he is letting them dress like that at a formal function, he should be applauded for not trying to control every aspect of his childrens’ lives- and allowing them to be their own person.

I think that the Minster is doing a good job with his house hold. They are kids they should have the right to like what they want to like, who says that they have to follow in daddy’s footsteps. He really loves his kids to bring them up to the U.S. to meet the President. I can’t believe people are making a big deal over the way two young ladies dressed up. Who people I think we have bigger fish to worry about than two young females wearing black and taking a picture.

Get a life and let’ s start feeding the poor and paying teachers better money to educate Americans Youth.

Why would they even say things like, ” And if the Prime Minister can not run his household how can he govern his country?”. What does having children who are goth (or dress like goth) have anything to do with his political stand points or how he runs a whole country? I hate reading things like that. My child may grow up and want to be goth, or gay, or just like to wear a lot of black. What does that have to do with me? or how I raised my child?

PS: I do not think these lovely young ladies look Goth. They are wearing the appropriate black drress for such an event. If anyones clothes should be spoken about it might be good to look at Mrs. Obama. I believe she might be better attired for this function had she chosen a black dress. It is apparent she desired to ” stand out” in the crowd.

I feel this photo and all others like it should be removed from all media. I realise their parents are public figures however, their children are not. WIth all the terrible things happening today I feel keeping their children safe is their parents main concern. Let their daughters remain sfae. Once they become of age it shall be theri decision to be photograsphed. Our countery as hosts should abide by the parents decision. Even this photo should be removed as fast as possible. CHildren are always considered a target of the insane. Please help these two girls renain that way, remove their photo.

Why not? The PM shows great character for letting his daughters express the look that they want to express.

Let’s change that question… If a PM tries to suppress his daughters from expressing themselves, does that mean he will form a dictatorial/communist style government?
