Sarah Palin to Replace Michael Steele?

Sarah Palin to Replace Michael Steele? - Many Republicans have spoken out about their feelings towards Obama and his directions with the U.S. military. Just recently at a Connecticut fundraiser Michael Steele suggested that they should no longer support an “unwinnable war of Obama’s choosing.” Undeniably speaking about our placement in Afghanistan, the location where terrorists that attacked our country on September 11th, 2001 still reside. Michael Steele, one of the speakers at the event is under heavy fire for his tirade.

The Republican National Committee Chairman appears to have dug himself into a hole, one he’s been familiar with before. Michael Steele has been at the end of negative feedback from his own party before but this time around everyone seems to have a replacement candidate for Steele already picked out. Things aren’t looking in his favor as everyone prepares to open the spotlight to Sarah Palin. However, would it be a good decision to let Steele go and let Palin enter such a big position? She’s been at the center of negative feedback as well, is she really the smart choice?
Kevin D. Williamson from National Review says that “It’s past time to dump Steele and Palin would “excel” at all the duties he’s shucked. Raising tons of money, recruiting great candidates and helping set the right tone for the party. And RNC chief is just a better fit for Palin than her other political job options: presidential candidate, policy analyst or freelance kingmaker.”
Similar reactions to Palin’s possible political position have been stated from several other places. However, there are still dozens of resources that suggest that Palin wouldn’t take the job if offered, that Steele is too powerful to let go and that Steele simply does a better job than she would.
