August 13, 2010 by Aaron M. · 1 Comment

Huckabee on Birthright Citizenship: Mike Huckabee Backs 14th Amendment – Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is no stranger to going against the grain with his thinking and policies, with an announcement on Wednesday that he does not believe that a change or revision of the 14th Amendment that guarantees birthright citizenship.

Huckabee does not back or endorse in anyway a revision or a repeal of this law.

This policy has been around for three centuries, and there’s been no problem or no need to change the laws, and at the moment there isn’t any problem eventuating from allowing U.S. citizenship to be given to those born within U.S. borders. Huckabee does not think it’s possible to change or revise the laws, regardless of if someone wishes to challenge the U.S. constitution.

Mike Huckabee On Sarah Palin

July 18, 2009 by Jamie Bernarth · Leave a Comment

Mike Huckabee did an interview with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren where he talked about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s recent op-ed in The Washington Post. The former Arkansas governor said:

“Clearly, the op-ed that she did for The Washington Post, I think, outlines a very important piece of policy that America ought to be talking about. That’s probably not Sarah Palin’s typical crowd. So maybe she’s showing her maybe serious side. Palin is not interested in exiting the stage and leaving the spotlight.”

He added:

“She just wants to do it as a private citizen, perhaps as a candidate, but not as a sitting governor of Alaska.Palin’s decision to resign her governorship “an act of liberation .Palin is looking forward to being able to “make an extraordinary amount of money. She’s going to enjoy that part of it, probably both the making of it and not having to tell how much it was” .

The former Republican presidential concluded by:

“I hope she remains — let me be real clear — a part of the Republican Party.I’m a little concerned when I hear her say that she may sort of branch out and go third party or go independent. That would be a big mistake, because we need to rebuild the Republican Party, not abandon it.”

Is Mike Huckabee really defending Sarah Palin on this one?
