The Case for Immigration Enforcement and Secure Borders – Faisal Shahzad, the main man behind the plot to blow up a bomb that was centrally located in time square was a naturalized, U.S. citizen but he had terrorism on his mind from the beginning. However, his presence in American rocketed immigration enforcement to the front pages of the papers. Michael Steele:African American Voters Mistreated By Republican Party – Earlier this week the Republican National Convention Chairman Michael Steele told an audience of DePaul students that African Americans have no reason to vote for republican candidates. He also went on to say that the GOP’s “southern strategy” has alienated minorities, specifically African Americans, for many years. Steele outlined the strategy as focusing on only the white voters from the South and neglecting African American voters in the region.
One student from the crowd asked Steele what reason African Americans would have to vote for republicans in the first place.
“You really don’t have a reason to, to be honest — we haven’t done a very good job of really giving you one. True? True.” Steele replied.

Republicans Were For President Barack Obama Healthcare Reform
March 28, 2010 by Jerry · 2 Comments
It appears as if many of the same republicans who were recently against the democratic health care reform bill were originally for health care reform, at least until it was brought up and brought into legislation by democrats. The new health care law is a republican idea that has been thrown around for a number of decades. It was first explored by the democratic party under Bill Clinton, when his wife became one of the first first ladies to get involved in the politics of the country when she campaigned for health care reform in the United States.

260 million Americans currently have health insurance coverage, the great majority through private insurers, and polls consistently show that they are overwhelmingly pleased with their current coverage. … The vast majority of Americans like their health care coverage. The vast majority of Americans like the quality of their health care. The vast majority of Americans don’t want Uncle Sam to touch their health care.
Obama is not backing down and revealed in a new speech:
That’s why any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange: a one-stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, cost and track records of a variety of plans – including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest – and choose what’s best for your family. And that’s why we’ll put an end to the worst practices of the insurance industry: no more yearly caps or lifetime caps; no more denying people care because of pre-existing conditions; and no more dropping people from a plan when they get too sick. No longer will you be without health insurance, even if you lose your job or change jobs.
You can watch Obama fight for his Healthcare Plan after the jump.

Michael Steele Apologizes For Abortion Statement
March 12, 2009 by Dylan · Leave a Comment
Michael Steele Apologizes For Abortion Statement – After being blasted by every single member of his party RNC Chairman Michael Steele is now saying sorry for claiming that he supports “individual choice” and state-level decisions on abortion.Steele said in a statement:
I am pro-life, always have been, always will be.
I tried to present why I am pro life while recognizing that my mother had a “choice” before deciding to put me up for adoption. I thank her every day for supporting life. The strength of the pro life movement lies in choosing life and sharing the wisdom of that choice with those who face difficult circumstances. They did that for my mother and I am here today because they did. In my view Roe vs. Wade was wrongly decided and should be repealed. I realize that there are good people in our party who disagree with me on this issue.
But the Republican Party is and will continue to be the party of life. I support our platform and its call for a Human Life Amendment. It is important that we stand up for the defenseless and that we continue to work to change the hearts and minds of our fellow countrymen so that we can welcome all children and protect them under the law.
How long will Michael Steele last as the RNC chairman?
