Obama Healthcare Plan

July 20, 2009 by Dylan · Leave a Comment

Obama Healthcare Plan:Obama Health Care Plan Analysis & Explained – Obama’s Healthcare Plan is under assault by the republicans. The Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said today that President Barack Obama’s health care plan can be link to socialism ,would hurt the U.S. economy and added:

260 million Americans currently have health insurance coverage, the great majority through private insurers, and polls consistently show that they are overwhelmingly pleased with their current coverage. … The vast majority of Americans like their health care coverage. The vast majority of Americans like the quality of their health care. The vast majority of Americans don’t want Uncle Sam to touch their health care.

Obama is not backing down and revealed in a new speech:

That’s why any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange: a one-stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, cost and track records of a variety of plans – including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest – and choose what’s best for your family. And that’s why we’ll put an end to the worst practices of the insurance industry: no more yearly caps or lifetime caps; no more denying people care because of pre-existing conditions; and no more dropping people from a plan when they get too sick. No longer will you be without health insurance, even if you lose your job or change jobs.

You can watch Obama fight for his Healthcare Plan after the jump.

Michael Steele Apologizes For Abortion Statement

March 12, 2009 by Dylan · Leave a Comment

Michael Steele Apologizes For Abortion Statement – After being blasted by every single member of his party RNC Chairman Michael Steele is now saying sorry for claiming that he supports “individual choice” and state-level decisions on abortion.Steele said in a statement:

I am pro-life, always have been, always will be.
I tried to present why I am pro life while recognizing that my mother had a “choice” before deciding to put me up for adoption. I thank her every day for supporting life. The strength of the pro life movement lies in choosing life and sharing the wisdom of that choice with those who face difficult circumstances. They did that for my mother and I am here today because they did. In my view Roe vs. Wade was wrongly decided and should be repealed. I realize that there are good people in our party who disagree with me on this issue.
But the Republican Party is and will continue to be the party of life. I support our platform and its call for a Human Life Amendment. It is important that we stand up for the defenseless and that we continue to work to change the hearts and minds of our fellow countrymen so that we can welcome all children and protect them under the law.

How long will Michael Steele last as the RNC chairman?

Michael Steele Sad About The State Of His PartyMichael Steele who is the new chairman of the Republican National Committee is lamenting about his party. He told The New York Times:

Yes, some problems in the job were “self-inflicted,” “but I do things to get a reaction.”
“I’m trying to move an elephant that’s become mired in its own muck,” Mr. Steele said in an interview last week in his sunlit Capitol Hill office, pausing whenever he appeared on the giant television close by his desk.“You can say, ‘He’s crazy, he’s running off at the mouth,’ ” he said. “Or you can say, ‘It kind of makes sense, and I get it.’ ”

He added:

“I’m very spontaneous,” he said, comparing working with him to riding a roller coaster without knowing when the next dip or curve might come.”Be prepared; you have no idea,” he said. “Just buckle up and get ready to go.”
