Glenn Beck Slams Unemployment 99ers – Individuals who have exhausted their 99 weeks of unemployment benefits have been dubbed “99ers,” and were recently attacked by the right leaning Glenn Beck. They got a lot of attention on Monday, when Beck introduced them to some of his viewers. He explained who they are, and then gave his opinion on their cause.

“Some of these people, I bet you’d be ashamed to call them Americans,” he said, not holding his tongue.
Beck advised them to go out there and get a job that doesn’t pay as well as the job that they had before. He alluded to the fact that in hard times, sometimes people have to settle for whatever work they can find. He told them to work at McDonald’s, or to work two jobs if they really needed to.

“There has been plenty of times in my life I’ve done jobs I hated, but I had no choice. Two years is plenty of time to have lived off your neighbor’s wallet,” he said.

Already, the relationship between the two nations has been tense. China has long since disagreed with the American support of an independent Taiwan, and of their presence in the Pacific. After repeated signs of aggression between the two nations, China seems to be preparing for a possible strike against U.S forces in the Pacific region, and a push for Taiwan.

August 15, 2010 by Jerry

Sarah Palin & GOP Slam Obama Ground Zero Mosque Comments – As you might have been able to guess, the GOP is already using Obama’s remarks regarding the construction of a mosque blocks away from ground zero against him.

Sarah Palin took to Twitter and Facebook Saturday and demanded that President Obama explain his remarks.
Obama defended the right of all Americans to practice religion as they see fit, but some are against building a mosque just blocks away from the biggest tragedy on US soil in the history of the country.

“The administration, and the president himself, seems to be disconnected from the mainstream of America,” Sen. John Cornyn (R., Texas) said on Fox News Sunday.

It will be a hot button topic, especially with the elections coming up. It is surprising that Barack Obama decided to bring up the mosque now, just months before the election.

A debate was held in New York City over the course of the last few days at a community center about whether or not they should allow the mosque to be built at the location that it has been planned at.
