DNC 2010 Elections Bush Ad
August 21, 2010 by Jerry
DNC 2010 Elections Bush Ad – The Democratic National Committee is using imagery from the Bush presidency in hopes of swaying voters away from voting Republican in the upcoming election. In the clip they present a “choice” to voters, to go with what has not been working for many years, or to switch directions and continue with the Democrats for a few more years. It will be interesting to see how the Republican Party responds to the ads.
“This fall, America faces a big choice: Do we continue to move forward like the Democrats are doing? Investing in education for every child, manufacturing right here at home, clean energy powering a new economy. Do we put Main Street ahead of Wall Street; do we hold big business accountable when they’ve gone too far,” the ad said. They also went on to ask the voters if they were willing to go back to the same policies that put us in the position that we are in now.

Sarah Palin Ticket Sales Slowing?
August 21, 2010 by Aaron M.
Sarah Palin Ticket Sales Slowing? – It may be an idea to advertise a Sarah Palin talk-fest as a comedy event, rather than anything serious, after the former Alaska Governor was found lacking for takers for her “An Evening of Hope with Sarah Palin.”
This was meant to be a blockbuster sellout in Jacksonville, Florida, but instead not many people want to hear the former running partner of John McCain to speak. The show had to be moved to a smaller theater. Originally to be held at the 2,936-seat Moran Theater, it has been moved to the significantly smaller 609-seat Terry Theater.
“We didn’t have much time to promote the event and we are new to the Florida market,” Kimberly Speirs, a Heroic Media spokeswoman explained to CNN.

Joe Biden Republican Tea Party Comment on 2010 Elections
August 20, 2010 by Olivia O.
Joe Biden Republican Tea Party Comment on 2010 Elections – The Tea Party has raised a great deal of controversy over the last year, mainly with the direction of some of their rallies, which have included speeches by Sarah Palin, who told the nation to “reload”, and keynote speakers that have been found to have connections to the KKK and have been known to support other white power groups.
This has created a rather marginalized status for most within the Party, as they have been seen as racist, whether the image is a fair one or not. With continued extremist views taken from some in the highest ranks of the Party, it might be safe to assume the controversy and division will continue.
But Vice President Joe Biden believes it will have a much larger affect, such as losing them the elections in November, and allowing the Democrats to remain in the majority.
Biden had harsh words for what he called the ‘extreme candidates’ of the Tea Party, saying that they were offering “more of the past but on steroids”.
“On Nov. 3 … there will be in Washington, D.C., a Democratic majority in the House and a Democratic majority in the Senate. That will be the case,” Biden said in a speech to the Democratic National Committee.

Barack Obama Franklin Graham:Americans Believe Obama is Muslim, Rev. Graham Says He Was Born With It
August 20, 2010 by Olivia O.
Barack Obama Franklin Graham:Americans Believe Obama is Muslim, Rev. Graham Says He Was Born With It – Showing a startling lack of information about the faith of Islam, and what it means to be a Muslim, Rev. Franklin Graham has come out to say that President Barack Obama was born a Muslim, and that it was “passed through the seed of his father”.
This comes on the heels of a poll that suggests that 1 in 5 Americans wrongly believe that Obama is a Muslim, despite him having had very little interaction with the side of his family that ascribe to that belief.
Now, Obama has been pretty open with this part of his life. His father was raised as a Muslim, from Kenya, and his mother was a white Christian woman from Kansas. His father was an Atheist in his adult life, not a Muslim, and he divorced his mother when the president was two years old. He had little contact with him or his family until he was 15, and went on a trip to Kenya.

Sarah Palin Endorsements Problem
August 20, 2010 by Camille H.
Sarah Palin Endorsements Problem – So far Sarah Palin hasn’t done a great job at choosing the winning politician. Palin backed two candidates in the primary elections last Tuesday, and both of her choices ended up losing the election. Palin supported Tea Party Activist Clint Didier in Washington, over Dino Rossi, who was the Republican favorite. In the Wyoming gubernatorial primary, Palin was cheering on State Auditor Rita Meyer.
However, Meyer lost to U.S. Attorney Matthew Mead by less than 1,000 votes.
Although Palin did not voice her support in any over-the-top ways, she did post her picks on her Facebook and Twitter pages. The backing drew media attention, and each of the candidates proudly announced her support of their campaign.
