Olympia Snowe Senator From Maine Health Care Vote – Sen. Olympia Snowe announced today that she voted for the Senate Finance Committee’s health care reform package that arrived on the Senate floor.The Republican from Maine said:
“Is this bill all that I would want? Far from it.Is it all that it can be? No. But when history calls, history calls, and I happen to think that the consequences of inaction dictate the urgency of Congress to take every opportunity to demonstrate its capacity to solve the monumental issues of our time.”
She added:
“My vote today is my vote today. It doesn’t forecast what my vote will be tomorrow”.
The Senate Finance Committee voted by a 14-to-9 margin to move the fifth and final health care reform proposal through the conservative panel.

With your involvement, You are the ONLY Republican who sensibly desires a dialogue and conversation. Instead of the yelling, and conservative threats, We see in you
the higher road of Washington and how it works. I would love to see consideration for the public option. I really believe We citizens need a choice….and NOT ONLY private health care insurance. I thank you for your steadfast endurance. This time, This year, we need to have health care reform and I know you feel this way too.

I think the Ms. Snowe went over to the “dark, evil side”. I hope that she can sleep at night.
Thank you for your vote to get the vote out of the health care committee. There is such a need for a plan to help millions of Americans to have access to health care, which is really an ETHICAL issue. For such a rich nation to ignore this issue for so long is deplorable. While it is necessary to end up with the best possible plan, it seems the opposition will never be satisfied. We are very fortunate to have good coverage and I wish the same for the entire nation.

I hope she is proud of herself. Her decision angered me very much. Our President is selling us out from every direction. Our leadership in this country is gone. We have none. We have nothing but self centered people who have an agenda.
