George Stephanopoulos said on the race:

If Martha Coakley loses to Brown, it would certainly be the biggest political upset I have seen in my career. My sources in Washington tell me that Democrats are hoping for a miracle win for Coakley, but they are bracing for a big defeat.

Experts have revealed that if the turnout in Massachusetts is quite heavy,Coakley still has a fighting chance.Do you think Brown’s potential win can shake up things in Washington?

    Keep on truckin’, Scott!

    • Luis says:

      Congratulations Massachusetts, you won!!

US will never stand for tyranic governments. At least it has been proven tonight. We don’t want Democratic doing against the People’s will just to push their radical socialist agenda. This country is for all republicans, democrats, and Independents.

How about this for real Change?

  2. Charlie Lunan says:

I think Brown needs to audit his robocalling firm. I live in North Carolina and have received four calls in the last two days by Scott Brown’s campaign workers urging me to vote. That despite the fact that I’m a registered Democrat. If that’s any indication of how he will run the state, I think Republicans will be disappointed….Of course it’s probably a fellow Republican billing him for these robo calls….

    • Lanya LaPunta says:

      Greetings, Charlie Lunan.

I may live in a commonwealth (CNMI), however, I believe that our tied-in political system is somewhat akin to those of you on “The Big Island” (mainland US).

If Brown is elected to the United States Senate, he would not “run the state”. Rather, typically that falls under the purview of the governor of the state,in addition to the legislature of said state (bicameral, with the exception of Nebraska(?))

Therefore, Brown currently has more to do, now, with running the state of Massachusetts than he would as a US senator.

Of course, lanyalei, I am nothing more that a simple island boy, and … what do I know.

    • Jay says:

Hey boner..A senator does not run the state. Stay in NC you won’t last anywhere else.

  3. usmc says:

if Brown wins it will be a sad, sad day for America

  4. Stonelion says:

There are no exit polls because Democrats are busy trying to figure out how to backdoor this thing and deal with the fact they are losing. They’ll pull some illegal stunt to get her vote to count.

  5. NHIndependant says:

The question keeps getting asked, who is responsible for the Financial crisis??? Then they throw up Bush, Obama and Clinton as potential candidates and yet one of the single biggest overseers of the start of the financial meltdown was Barney Frank!!!
Why isn’t he at the top of the list???

Clinton changed the law (December 2000) and Frank watch as the ship sunk!

  6. edward desharnais says:

Coakley will have a good chance due to voter fraud by acorn and dem/comunists that are going to cheat you are not fooling us. we are watching and the shot for indipendance agianst his majesty Obama has been fired again in mass. Revelution is comming and we are ready to fight for the greatest nation on earth. does it sound like i’m mad you bet mad as hell.

  7. Bairkus says:

Things in hand would not change much, but it can change some things going forward on other issues.
Democrats already have demonstrated ample readiness simply to change laws that might be in the way of their goals, as they did repeatedly with Massachusetts law about who appoints their interim US Senator. And there are several tools they can use to continue moving forward their current “Health-Care Reform” package.
Bit it can certainly sound a wake-up call. The President then would have to work WITH some Republican interest somewhere in new endeavors, instead of just going on with more of his Chicago-style wheeling & dealing a filibuster-proof majority behind closed doors, and he and Dems would have to position themselves differently if they want to lead instead of just “Rahming things through.”

  8. R. Terry Jones, RN says:

If Scott wins in Massachusetts, it will demostrate to the Democrats how far off track they are with the American people. Americans do not like being told the goverment knows best how to spend their money and therefore are increasing taxes. They do not like the goverment trying to control every part of our lives.

  9. matthew says:

Brown has won the election i just heard directly from mass sorry you sleaz ball lying democrats, and obama you suck as a president you should be impeached for lying to the american people after the republicans regain controll a law should be passed that if you are lying during the primaries you should be impeached after your first year.

  10. Brian says:

Coakley has already set the stage by accusing republicans of handing out filled in Ballots.

I thought that ACORN had the patent on that.

  11. Tracie says:

How short your memories are! If you’d like to talk about voter fraud, let’s take a look at our last president. And what has Obama lied about? He’s done everything he said he was going to do. I love people who don’t know what they’re talking about talking S***!!

    • edward desharnais says:

wanted to look back and see what was said after i left my message I do understand the agenda and i also understand what obama is doing. and i happen not to like what he is doing. he is a demi god who thinks he is better than the great unwashed he is a communist possing as a democrate. communism has been proven to work on paper only not in practical use. all communist countries have ended up being some kind of absolute dictatorship. socialism = communism = leninism/ stalinism = large scale human death= true numbers will never be know but est 12-40 million dead due to communist russia from reveloution to stalins death most of which were russian citizins. terrorists should be questioned and in my opinion as in olden days shot. the last war fought properly was wwII. I beleive in a large army as FDR mandated and clinton cut in half oh and our economy problem goes back to him he didn’t pay for any thing and bush needed to pay clintons tab check into it mr know it all. three elections before gore bush had similar out comes lincoln that in part caused the civil war he was not even on the ballot in 8 southern states. jackson had a 4 way problem and was or felt he was cheeted his first time running for president. the third happend in the years after the civil war and i can not remember now but the election of our president is not based on the popular vote it is based on the electoral college the 12th amendment. if you would like lessons in us policy for/dam or us or internationl history or government history i would love to help you oh if you have a che che shirt burn it he would be very embaressed by the capitalist ideas behind its sale. most communist civil war movements around the world today are only fronts for drug/dimond/slave/smuggleing/piracy trades that are lead by very bad hombries that would sell you rather than talk to you. the youth of the U.S. should learn we need to consontrate on fixing the problems of today first then we can think about how the world should be. you need to understand that Obama is not fixing anything and is going to leave our country with an even bigger debt. he is smoke and mirrors and nothing without a telapropter. he had a supper majority in the house and senate he could have pushed the medical bill through past the republicans who stopped it dem senators who said wait a minute what is in this bill true heros who have saved the country from a bad bill. if anyone wants to call me a racist ill tell you no my first choice for pres is collin powell a good american. i’ll debate you all day but have something to back up what you are saying just because it is not fair to some does not mean it is wrong. take the emotion out of your polotics life is not fair and the world is not fair i have major learning problems that make it that i can not spell well and i read at a speed of a 3rd grader but that is life i am part indian black foot/feet but can not get native benifits like family that live on the res. I’ll fight for my country and i happen to know what is right and that is why we will win. I mention the indian part because it actually matters I can say this why don’t you all get out of my country just jokeing with you. oh ya political correctness is modern fasism thats why i say indian not native american

  12. Don Casler says:

Obviously this is a giant step in stopping the dictatorship tactics of the Obama administration. His agenda will slow down a bit. I think his goal of disarming the citizens of this country (ignoring the second amendment) might be in trouble now. Both he and Hillary really want this. So did Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer. Nobody seems to remember, nor is talking much about, his amnesty agenda for those ignoring our boarders. Lots of votes there. Right??? Get educated on the agenda. It is scarry.
