Kelly Ayotte Sarah Palin Endorsement Hurting Her – A recent poll has shown that Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Republican candidate Kelly Ayotte in her bid for the US Senate in New Hampshire may actually do her more harm than good. A new survey that was released by the Public Policy Polling group has found that Ayotte has seen her support fall since she was endorsed by Sarah Palin.
The report said that the Palin endorsement made 51% of voters less likely to back her, while only 26% said that they were more inclined to vote for someone who was endorsed by Sarah Palin. Moderates disliked the endorsement even more, with 65% saying that a Palin endorsement would turn them off, while only 14% of moderates said that a Palin endorsement would make them more likely to vote for a candidate.

47 percent of New Hampshire voters describe themselves as moderates. Before the Palin endorsement, the Democratic candidate, Paul Hodes, had a lead of just points according to polls. After the endorsement, he has seen his lead in polling widen to 21 points, now standing at 51-30.
It is interesting to see that such a well-known political figure could actually be hurting candidates by endorsing them. This news does not bode well for her supposed upcoming Presidential bid in 2012. It appears that Palin is having a hard time garnering support for her, which in turn makes it hard for her to garner support for the candidates that she chooses to endorse.
