Janet Napolitano Homeland Security Retracts – The secretary of homeland security, Janet Napolitano is changing her tune after being blasted by both the left and right for claiming that the nation’s aviation security system had worked despite allowing two potentials terrorists on flights to Detroit.Ms. Napolitano took back her words on Monday on NBC’S “Today” saying that her remark the day before was taken out of context:
Tthe system has worked really very, very smoothly over the course of the past several days.Our system did not work in this instance.No one is happy or satisfied with that. An extensive review is under way.”
President Obama who has imposed new airport security rules and a complete review of the air travel system will make a statement from the Kaneohe Marine Base in Hawaii later today.
