House Health Care Reform Bill

The house has unveiled the health-care reform bill today.The bill will cover 97 percent of Americans by excluding illegal immigrants and will cost $1 trillion.Half of the reform is already paid while the remaining $500 billion will be made available by taxing the richest Americans.Here is a breakdown :

The surtax is 1 percent on income between $350,000 and $500,000; 1.5 percent on income between $500,000 and $1,000,000; and 5.4 percent in income above $1,000,000.
