Harry Reid To Barack Obama:Sorry For No Negro Dialect Remark
Harry Reid To Barack Obama:Sorry For No Negro Dialect Remark – Harry Reid has learned the hard way that you should probably not use the words Negro, light skinned and Obama in the same sentence. On Saturday Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid has publicly apologized to president for a comment he made during the 2008 election.
According to the book “Game Change” by Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin and New York magazine’s John Heilemann, Reid described Barack Obama as a “light skinned” African-American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one” – would help rather than hurt his eventual presidential bid.Obama accepted, the apology bu saying:
“As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.”
Reid who is facing a tough re-election bid this year in Nevada spent the day calling civil rights leaders and fellow Democrats to explain his statement in hopes of preventing any further political damage.Do you think Reid is sincere with his apology? Or is it just a PR stunt??

Let me see if I understand this.. The same GOP who inserted a quote into Palin’s first official speech at the GOP national convention from Westbrook Pegler, the rabid racist who openly called for the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, now wants to go all PC on Reid for a tacky comment he made several years ago and demand his removal.
We are talking about the same GOP aren’t we?
