Evan Bayh To Retire:Won’t Seek Reelection – Sen. Evan Bayh has shocked the political world today that he will not be seeking re-election.The very successful two-term Indiana Democrat revealed that he will not be running for re-election in 2010, citing an overly-partisan climate in Washington.He said in a written statement:
“After all these years, my passion for service to my fellow citizens is undiminished, but my desire to do so in Congress has waned.My decision was not motivated by political concern.Even in the current challenging environment, I am confident in my prospects for re-election.But running for the sake of winning an election, just to remain in public office, is not good enough.And it has never been what motivates me. At this time I simply believe I can best contribute to society in another way: creating jobs by helping grow a business, helping guide an institution of higher learning or helping run a worthy charitable endeavor.Two weeks ago, the Senate voted down a bipartisan commission to deal with one of the greatest threats facing our nation: our exploding deficits and debt. The measure would have passed, but seven members who had endorsed the idea instead voted ‘no’ for short-term political reasons.Just last week, a major piece of legislation to create jobs — the public’s top priority — fell apart amid complaints from both the left and right. All of this and much more has led me to believe that there are better ways to serve my fellow citizens, my beloved state and our nation than continued service in Congress.”

This is what the democrats need to do, ALL democrats!!!! *I live in Calif. we have a real mess here, do to the Democrats, We need to rid ourselves of BOXER!!!! She is the down fall of our state, she has been the worse person to speak for our state, and her buddy Pelosi, are both needed to be fired from there jobs for spending our states money, for there own “FOLLY”, while we starve, and are jobless. So, let us vote Boxer, and ALL” the Democrats out of Calif. and make sure we do not vote a Gov who is married to a Democrate. He was shameful. He was more a democrate, than a conservative.We need to start taking care of the people, not the environment. Get out of the peoples jobs way “GREEN PEACE” our men need to work, and you need to shut up.
