Andrew Cuomo Running For New York Governor – Andrew Cuomo is serious about running for Governor, declaring his candidacy for the position on Saturday. Currently working as the New York Attorney General, Cuomo has a high approval rating within the state and would likely be able to compete with just about any candidate that they can throw at him. He delivered his announcement to a large crowd who had gathered, already knowing that Cuomo was likely going to be announcing his candidacy for the position. He said he is going to run in hopes that he will be able to turn the state around, and return New York to the great state that it once was and can be again.

“Enough is enough,” Cuomo told the crowd, before making a Star Wars reference. “It’s time the people of the Empire State strike back.”
He said that the state’s property taxes would be capped if he was elected as Governor of the state, and said that he hoped that he would be able to create an environment in the state that would attract a number of large scale businesses to the outlaying cities in the state, outside of New York City.
“New York wasn’t always like this. This isn’t New York at its best,” he said. “I represent the people of the state of New York and we want our government back.”
He addressed many of the issues that have been troubling the state in recent months in his address.

I was born and raised in NYC and was always so proud of it, even though people knew I was from NY the minute I opened my mouth. Can’t get rid of that Bronx accent. Anyway when I read that the Mayor and the council is going to allow a Mosque to be built alongside the place where so many died as a result of the Muslim idealogy is a disgrace. I am not so proud of NY anymore. Plus I saw pictures of Muslims bowing down in the middle of the street on Madison Ave to pray to their God. Is that allowed ??? I don’t believe my native city would allow any people to obstruct traffic like that. When are we going to wake up to the fact that being politicaly correct is ruining our beautiful state and country. We were there when your Dad was Governor.
